Daikin Applied is seeking a talented and eager Quality Engineer I. Ensures the quality of industrial processes, materials, and products. Under direct supervision, the position will be responsible for conducting quality reviews, detecting defects, planning quality improvements, and training on quality topics. Location: In office in Staunton, Virginia. 

Shift: 2nd shift, 2:00 PM - 10:00 PM 

 

What you will do:  

Review design documentation for compliance with UL and ISO9001 requirements Investigate customer/warranty quality concerns Document data obtained during quality assurance review and use quality assurance tools such as but not limited to statistical process control (SPC), and failure mode effects analysis (FMEA), for analyzing data to evaluate the current process and process changes Assist in performing process capability studies Collaborate with manufacturing engineering and production teams to solve quality non-conformities Present significant concerns or developments identified during quality assurance activities Gather, analyze, and present technical information to team members and management utilizing Pareto Analysis, Frequency Distribution, and 5 WHY techniques Maintain a working knowledge of government and industry quality standards, including current ISO requirements

Minimum Qualifications:  

4-year bachelor’s degree in engineering or related technical field Work visa sponsorship is not available for this position
