Essential Functions:
Quality Standards: Develop, apply, and maintain quality requirements and standards for product development and manufacturing processes within your production areas.
Quality Assurance: Act as the primary quality assurance contact, overseeing all quality-related issues from supplier materials to final product inspections.
Concurrent Engineering Support: Participate in design development projects, representing quality assurance and the customer.
Process Improvement: Design, document, and implement methods for process control, improvement, testing, and inspection.
Inspection Oversight: Ensure thorough inspections of incoming materials, in-process products, and final products.
Quality Promotion: Promote and execute quality standards, inspection processes, test methodologies, quality plans, documents, and reports.
Quality Reporting: Develop, execute, and analyze quality-reporting measures for operational and management use.
Supplier Quality: Review suppliers' purchase orders and establish quality requirements. Conduct internal and external quality audits.
Supplier and Customer Interface: Interface with supplier and customer quality representatives to resolve quality assurance issues and implement corrective actions.
Additional Duties: Perform other duties as necessary.
The Ideal Candidate will have experience in:
Quality Management Systems (QMS) ISO9001 and ATEX/IECEx Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) PFMEA PPAP/FAI process Control Plans Analyzing data and reporting against Cost-of-Poor-Quality metrics Communicating with customers regarding product quality Root cause analysis (8D, fishbone, 5 why, etc.) Perform statistical analysis Internal and external audits Project management
Minimum Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related field
Experience: minimum 2 years of experience evaluating quality in a manufacturing environment.
Analytical Skills: Strong ability to analyze and solve problems.
Decision Making: Ability to make decisions and take initiative to improve products and processes.
Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Adaptability: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
