We are looking for:
The Quality Engineer establishes and improves Quality practices and procedures pertaining to the design, manufacture, and validation of materials for aerospace and emerging industrial applications
We count on you for:
Lead area specific Material Review Board activities and participate in related activities, failure analysis and corrective action investigations. Lead and support Corrective Action investigations and tasks, to determine root cause and corrective actions needed.
Lead problem solving efforts to resolve respective quality and productivity issues with test equipment. Communicate with respective personnel to identify test process improvement opportunities and/or ideas.
Document proposed ideas/opportunities and proposed methods for realizing improvement opportunities.
Work with test equipment and/or processes to identify opportunities/ideas to improve reliability and equipment up-time.
Maintain current knowledge of laboratory techniques, customer specifications, international standards (e.g. AS9100, ISO 9001, Nadcap), equipment, and material safety data sheets (SDS), to be used in the assigned areas.
Evaluate and/or design sampling plans and process control plans.
Evaluate and recommend inspection gauges and test equipment.
Support manufacturing in analyzing manufacturing product lines to determine how or where, within the manufacturing or inspection process, the root cause of non-conformances or customer complaints exist.
Identify quality performance, trends and corrective action by coordinating with customers and suppliers. Ensures compliance to specified quality requirements by performing in-house audits surveys.
Develop statistical process controls by applying and maintaining applicable control charts. Analyze data by completing ANOVA, DOE, GR&R, Capability, FMEA, and SPC as required.
Refine and enhance products and processes by applying continuous improvement and key lean manufacturing principles and techniques to critical areas of production.
Assist with internal and external audits. May act as main contact in audit. Develop and coordinate corrective action procedures and plans.
Comply with customer requirements by studying existing and new specifications, ensuring adherence to requirements, and advising management on needed actions.
Share specialized knowledge with others. Represents company on high-level projects. Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
Work assignments may include cross-functional or project team responsibilities (e.g. continuous improvement).

A minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or applied science is required. Minimum 5+ years working in an engineering position within a manufacturing environment. Aerospace manufacturing is preferred. Extensive service in one category may be considered in lieu of full experience in another. Six-sigma certifications are a plus.You will get:
Competitive salary and benefits package The U.S. base salary range reasonably expected to be paid for this position is $75,760 to $94,700 per year. Since actual compensation packages are based on a variety of factors unique to each candidate we may ultimately pay more or less than the posted base salary range.
