Our client, a leading engineering contractor operating across key sectors, is looking for an experienced, detail-oriented, and electrically biased Quality Engineer. As a Quality Engineer you will be responsible for ensuring that products and processes meet established quality standards including developing and implementing quality control procedures, conducting inspections and audits, and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities & Requirements:
Develop and implement quality control procedures and plans.
Establish quality standards and specifications to ensure compliance with company and industry standards.
Carry out regular inspections and tests of products and processes to ensure compliance with quality standards.
Develop accurate quality documentation, including inspection reports, test results, and non-conformance reports ready for review or submission to senior management.
Collaborate with production, engineering, and other departments to ensure clear communication of quality requirements and expectations.
Lead the regular quality meetings to discuss project progress, addressing any quality-related issues promptly and effectively.
Assist in audit of quality in design and new product introduction and identify opportunities for process improvements to enhance product quality and operational efficiency.
Ensure all quality activities comply with health and safety regulations and company policies.
Degree/qualification in Electrical Engineering or related field.
5+ years’ experience in Quality Management roles within construction/engineering.
Proven accomplishments in Quality Control roles within engineering/ construction.
Strong HV / MV substation, cable jointing, transmission & distribution experience and ISO9001 auditor certification is desirable.
Strong knowledge of Quality Control principles, methods, standards, and specifications.
Excellent decision-making, problem- solving and communication skills.
Detail- oriented with strong organisational skills.
Proficient in Quality Engineering software and tools.
