Quality Engineer Job Number: 352727 Category: Quality Engineering Description: Job Title: Quality Engineer Location: ​​Greensburg​, IN Zip Code: 47240 Start Date: Right Away Job Type: Direct Hire Pay Rate: $55k - $80k/salary DoE Keywords: #QualityEngineer #EngineeringJobs JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: * Work as liaison between internal departments at the company and the end customer. * Manage all quality functions related to customer satisfaction. * Ensure that all products and processes meet Company Quality system requirements. * Perform audits of processes and finished product. * Respond to quality issues/concerns from assembly areas and customers. * Maintain quality documents for mass production. * Responsible for ensuring customer requirements are met. * Support customer service area and visit customer plants to review quality concerns. * Recommend short term and long-term countermeasures. * Present Quality data to senior management. * Travel, both domestic and international, limited travel. * Responsible for conformity to product requirements with the authority to stop production and shipments in order to correct quality problems. * Document customer complaints and drive closure of customer issues. * Participate in APQP activities. Maintain and monitor all aspects of customer quality. * Responsible for ensuring customer requirements are met. * Monitor design change process. * Develop and maintain positive working relationships with internal and external customers. * Complete additional tasks and assignments given by Supervisor/Manager. * Consistent and regular attendance. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: * Must be a US Citizen * Bachelor degree in Engineering or high school diploma/GED and 3+ years manufacturing quality engineering experience. * ​​Experience with Automotive industry * Working experience with the customer (Prefer a Japanese OEM but really any OEM would work ) * Problem solving training, 6 sigma, black belt (green belt) and/or some exposure training and experience with those systems * Excellent problem solving and communication skills (written and verbal) * Ability to easily navigate computer programs * Experience in a fast paced office/manufacturing environment * SPC, PPAP, and 5P training * ASQ CQT, CQA, or CQE certification preferred If you are interested in this role, please apply via the apply now link provided.
