Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Quality Engineer with a strong experience in manufacturing and production quality. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of experience in the field and a Bachelor's degree. This role requires expertise in GD&T, root cause analysis, and the ability to lead initiatives with moderate scope and impact.
ResponsibilitiesAudit processes, products, and quality systems to verify compliance with established regulations and quality standards.Conduct customer inspection visits to demonstrate compliance with product specifications.Generate control indicators to prioritize and monitor failures or deviations requiring quick resolution.Implement process improvements and corrective actions based on the analysis of failures in key product variables, quality critics, and customer complaints.Document, maintain, and update process MEFAs.Establish barriers/containment actions to ensure non-recurrence in corrective actions, complaints, failures, internal deviations, and late deviations.Prepare reports of inspections, tests, failures, and complaints.Assist in training, scheduling, and supporting around 3-4 inspectors to ensure quality and process adherence on the production line.Essential SkillsBachelor's degree in Engineering, preferably Mechanical.Minimum of 2 years of experience in manufacturing/production quality.Proficiency in GD&T and root cause analysis.Strong oral and written communication skills.Excellent interpersonal and leadership abilities.Capability to influence others and lead small teams.Proven analytical and organizational skills.Ability to coordinate several projects simultaneously.Effective problem identification and solution skills.Additional Skills & QualificationsPrevious welding experience in a manufacturing environment (Preferred).AWS certification (Preferred).Experience with Statistical Process Control (Preferred).Familiarity with KPI management (Preferred).Knowledge of ISO 9001 standards (Recommended).Understanding of UL (Underwriters Laboratories) and FM (Factory Mutual) standards (Recommended).Work Environment
This role operates within a manufacturing environment where the use of various technologies and equipment is essential. The Quality Engineer will be involved in both office and production floor settings, requiring adherence to safety protocols and quality standards. The position involves regular collaboration with team members and other departments to ensure continuous improvement and compliance with quality specifications.
