About the Position:
This position is responsible for supporting manufacturing process and product quality by applying appropriate Goodyear standards and procedures to solve problems. The incumbent understands and can apply standard tools to improve customer satisfaction and process capability.

Utilize and apply understanding of suppliers and Customer requirements (internal and external) relevant to specific manufacturing processes.

Manage relationships with Customers (internal and external) and drive improvements in Customer satisfaction; appropriately representing Goodyear.

Coach, teach and direct the application of technical solutions to meet product and process requirements. Viewed as a technical content expert.

Lead and coordinate product and process improvements within relevant quality guidelines and standards using appropriate quality engineering tools. 

Diagnose process performance indicators and trends using applicable analytical tools to effectively solve problems.

Coach and teach Plant Optimization (PO) and use PO methods to drive process improvements.

Recognize and identify problems, and achieve solutions with appropriate tools and methods that deliver defined objectives which meet business needs. 

Apply appropriate techniques to anticipate and mitigate risks.

Develop solutions to project risks. 

Coach others on project risk management process.

Successfully execute and implement projects. 

Drive and coach others. 

Manage process closeout process, while coaching others.

Drive existing and new methods and coach others on project conflict resolution. 

Proactively manage conflict. 

 

Education:

Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering required

Experience or certifications in the application of Quality control systems, problem solving and project management tools preferred

 

Experience:

4 + years experience required

Demonstrated ability to teach and apply systematic problem solving tools and techniques

Demonstrated ability to understand and troubleshoot equipment and process problems

Demonstrated ability to apply new tools and techniques to improve existing processes

Project management
