Quality Engineer
Job Title: Quality Engineer Job Description Ensure products conform to established requirements and standards through audit, inspection, and test activities. Interact with internal departments at all levels and external customers and suppliers. Responsibilities + Formulate procedures, specifications, and standards for products and processes following customer requirements with consideration to ISO/TS. + Establish communication links with customers, vendors, and internal departments to effectively convey quality control information, test results, and correctional measures. + Conduct root cause analysis of quality problems, and develop and implement corrective countermeasures using 5P, 5 Why, and 8D. + Provide daily instruction, guidance, and assistance to quality inspectors. + Compile and analyze data to support departmental reports. Prepare and distribute various reports and documentation related to departmental activities such as Material Supply Quality and Quality Report to Customer. + Develop and implement quality system planning, efficiency improvement, and measurement system programs to meet company and customer quality and control demands. + Perform PPAPs and provide support to APQP activities, inspection procedures, design and procure inspection gauges, conduct gauge reliability studies, create calibration, inspection, and test standard forms. + Act as a liaison to customer PQEs and other representatives for new product development and existing programs. + Conduct internal and external supplier audits to requirements of IATF. Essential Skills + Bachelor's Degree required. + 3+ years in a quality engineer role. + Root cause analysis (8D/5Why). + Experience with PPAPs and APQP. + Problem-solving experience such as 8D and 5 Why. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Certified auditor. + Knowledge of FMEA. + Experience with PLEX (SAP). + Strong problem-solving skills. + Experience in metal stamping, fabrication, welding. + Assertive personality. + Experience with AutoCAD. + Gauge design. + Experience with 3D scanner - Keyence.
