JOB DESCRIPTION
**JOB TITLE** : Quality Control Engineer

**REPORTS TO:** Quality Manager
**PURPOSE:**
The Quality Control Engineer ensures the processes needed for production quality control are implemented and maintained. This position is responsible for and supporting inspectors and other quality personnel as well as other organizational teams and suppliers relating to product quality and customer requirements.
**WORK PERFORMED:**
•Supports members of the organization at all levels regarding CMM, inspection, and calibration resources, techniques, and related issues.
•Off/Online CMM programming inspection and support as needed.
•Support manufacturing and supply chain with quality planning activities and documentation.
•Communicate vendor related quality issues and improvement requests.
•Vendor audits and source inspection as needed.
•Supports gage crib attendant and inspection personnel as needed.
•Review of contractual deliverables, including but not limited to material and process certifications, AS9102 FAIR.
•Supports AS9100 certification as a member of the QMS team.
•Conducts internal audits.
•Root cause investigation and corrective action implementation
•Perform other tasks as requested or required to support the needs of the business.
**QUALIFICATIONS:**
•4-7 years of experience in Quality Control role demonstrating knowledge of quality assurance/control practices and procedures including ISO and AS9100 quality systems.
•Capacity to manage multiple tasks with minimal supervision.
•Knowledge and experience with Aerospace and DOD requirements.
•Ability to understand and disseminate industry and military specifications.
•Proficiency with all aspects of the part inspection processes including GD&T, CMM programming and special processes.
•Proficiency in MS office suite required.
•Excellent organizational and communication skills are required.
