Safran Aircraft Engines designs, produces, and sells, alone or in partnership, commercial and military aircraft engines offering world-class performance. Through CFM International*, Safran Aircraft Engines is the world's leading supplier of engines for single-aisle mainline commercial jets. Safran Aerospace Composites in Rochester, NH is dedicated to the production of 3D woven composite parts, made using the RTM (resin transfer molding) process. The first application of this technology is the production of blades and fan cases for the LEAP (registered trademark) engine, developed by CFM International, designed to power the next generation of single-aisle aircraft. This technology creates less noise and decreases fuel consumption for aircraft engines, thereby reducing greenhouse gas emissions. We're looking for exceptional talent to join our Quality Department for a dedicated and honest-minded professional. Our QA department focuses on auditing, laboratory activities, inspection (NDT and dimensional) and problem solving of process and products. As the QA System, you will interact regularly with all functions of the plant, be in link with other QA System from other plants (Mexico and France), manage the audit plan of the plant in accordance with AS9100, customer and internal requirements. This position reports directly to the Quality Manager.
**Complementary Description**
Principal Duties and Responsibilities (*Essential Functions)
• *Manage the external auditing process, from preparation, facilitation, to ensuring the response to eventual findings on time
• *Manage the internal auditing processes, including the management of Corrective Actions and Opportunities for Improvement
• *Manage the indicators of the Quality Management System (QMS): Quality alerts, Quality Escapes, 8D/RPO, Corrective and preventative actions, etc
• *Manage the Archiving process: ensure compliance to archiving and record control procedures.
• *Manage the Document Control process: ensure compliance of new and updated procedures and forms to the process
• Develop, schedule and follow up on the survey of the internal auditors
• Organize the certification of the internal auditors: define the audits, dates, exams
• Be the focal point for the customer satisfaction survey
• Become a certified auditor for the site. Propose and follow an audit plan based on Non-conformities
• Conduct appropriate QMS, process, and operator audits. Based on the non-conformities from last year, update the flash audit template
• Other duties as assigned
The expected salary range for this position is between $75,000 - $95,000 USD. Actual compensation will be determined based on experience, education, and other factors permitted by law.
**Job Requirements**
Job Specifications
• Bachelor's degree in appropriate science, engineering or engineering technology field or three 3+ years of manufacturing experience as a Quality engineer or Manufacturing engineer, or equivalent combination of education and experience required
• Experience with AS9100D, ISO17025 preferred
• Proficiency in leading RCCAs
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Visio
• Requires a strict attention to detail
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Working Conditions
• Lighting and temperature are adequate.
• Noise level in the work environment is usually quiet.
• Occasional exposure to moving mechanical parts.
