Quality Engineer
Job Description: Quality Assurance Engineer We are seeking a Quality Assurance Engineer to support the ongoing development and implementation of our Quality Management System. In this role, you will assist the Director of Quality Assurance in planning, developing, communicating, and maintaining systems, policies, documentation, and data across departments to maximize product quality while minimizing costs. Responsibilities + Assess results of customer complaint investigations and corrective actions using CAPA problem-solving techniques for application, validity, and conformance to company objectives. + Develop and support inspection methods for variable and attribute data specific to our industry to analyze product quality. + Develop and track quality assurance metrics to support the ongoing performance goals of the QMS, including the preparation of reports for review. + Communicate with the manufacturing team to drive improvement efforts from corrective action feedback from floor issues and product line audits. + Coordinate and perform internal process and product audits against specific furniture product criteria. + Develop inspection processes tied to layout, in-process, and final inspection against audit criteria. + Work independently and be self-motivated to perform multiple tasks and achieve results according to planned arrangements. + Read and interpret component drawings and engineering specifications. + Communicate effectively with all levels of staff and management. Essential Skills + Proficient in MS Office software including Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and statistical software. + Highly organized and able to adjust priorities in a fast-paced organization driven by custom-made products. + 5-7 years or more of work-related experience in Quality and Manufacturing environment (Industrial/Automotive preferred). + Strong working knowledge and experience in an ISO9001:2015 environment. + Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent. + English/Spanish bilingual is a plus.
