PURPOSE:

Assure Wyman-Gordon's Quality systems and procedures satisfy government and customer requirements, and assure compliance of product shipped to contractual requirements.

 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

Drive error-free and effective implementation of QMS SystemDrive implementation and improvement in Statistical Process ControlsTrain employees at all levels of the organization in Statistical Process Controls and root cause problem solving methodsDrive FMEA to improve the quality and reliability of the processSupport investigations and atypical events, as well as resulting corrective or preventive action implementationRoot cause analysis facilitation/participationBuild reliability into Operations equipment and processesIdentify and implement process & safety improvementsPoint of point of contact with customers, regulatory, and government agencies on quality related issues, and audits

 

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS:

BS minimum, MS, or 3-5 years of experience in quality related functions preferredSPC\Process Controls ExperienceFMEADemonstrated ability to provide technical leadership and teamwork across functional boundariesExcellent communication skillsKnowledge of forging processes is preferredKnowledge of AS9100 and familiarity with conducting AS9100 audits is preferred

SPECIAL SKILLS AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
