Job Description
We are seeking a Quality Engineer who will play a key role in analyzing customer returned parts to drive Corrective and Preventative Action (CAPA) improvements. This role involves preventing internal recurring failures, reducing risks through root cause analysis, validating customer RMAs, and issuing further actions to enhance manufacturing processes. Additionally, the Quality Engineer will supervise a team of six in the final inspection department, providing guidance, coaching, and training as necessary. The position also involves representing Quality Assurance in the material review board (MRB) for internal rejections.
ResponsibilitiesPerform detailed analysis of customer returned parts to drive CAPA improvements.Prevent internal recurring failures and reduce risks by conducting root cause analysis.Validate customer RMAs and issue further actions to improve manufacturing processes.Supervise a team of six in the final inspection department and provide guidance, coaching, and training.Represent Quality Assurance in the material review board (MRB) for internal rejections.Essential SkillsExpertise in quality engineering principles.Experience with AS9102 standards.Knowledge of aerospace industry requirements.Proficiency in root cause analysis and corrective actions.Experience with first article inspections (FAI) and MRB processes.Additional Skills & QualificationsStrong auditing skills.Ability to lead and coach a team effectively.Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.Work Environment
This role is based in a dynamic manufacturing environment with a focus on quality assurance in the aerospace sector. The work environment includes working with various technologies and equipment specific to quality inspections and analysis. Standard working hours apply, with occasional need for flexibility depending on project timelines.
