HD Microsystems has an exciting opportunity for a Quality Engineer/Customer Focal Point based in Parlin, NJ.

HD MicroSystems (HDM) is a 50-50 joint venture of Resonac and DuPont.

HD MicroSystems is the world’s largest supplier of polyimide and PBO precursor chemistries specifically engineered for microelectronic applications. Applied and cured by our customers, these materials transform into polyimide and PBO films with unique end use properties. HDM's product line is broad, consisting of photosensitive coatings, standard non-photosensitive coatings, high temperature adhesives, optically clear coatings, and a full line of complementary ancillary products.

This Quality Engineering role is opened to address business growth and customer satisfaction and will report through the Quality organization. In this fast-paced and highly visible role, you will interface with top tier global customers- managing their strategic roadmap and serving as their voice in internal operations.

Your Key Responsibilities:

This role is designed to more directly manage the product quality and service responsiveness to top tier and strategic customers and work cross-functionally within the business to align to the evolving customer technical roadmap. The candidate will be responsible for:Owning and resolving complaints and requests from assigned customer(s): Activities include managing root cause identification, acquiring and analyzing data, and developing solution options in collaboration with other teams, as necessary. The candidate should rapidly assess special customer requests and help implement according to business prioritization.Drafting and communicating complaint resolution progress to customers on a regular basis (including with global teams).Managing customer notifications. Collaborating with global teams, you will help to write up letters / data packages or make existing data packages customer friendly. Provide feedback from customers and work with teams to ensure implementation according to business plan.Provide SPC reports to maintain customer satisfaction and our internal QMS requirements.The strategic aspect of the job is to serve as the voice of the customer back into the business and work across organization to prioritize customer requirements into strategic operations and quality roadmaps. The roadmaps will include the short & mid-term CIP efforts to continually drive improved product quality and service responsiveness to improve customer satisfaction as well as long term actions to help win new business for the customer emerging technology needs.Lead Projects to maintain and improve Quality Management System and Customer Satisfaction

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree or higher in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science/Engineering, or a related engineering discipline is required.5+ years combined experience in manufacturing, Quality or Continuous Improvement Engineering is required. Semiconductor industry or related experience desirable.Demonstrated understanding of statistical techniques including DOE, Control Charts, Gage R&R, ANOVA is required.Ability to make good engineering judgments independently is required.Required to have proficient computer skills such as advanced Excel and PowerPoint use.Experience with External Communications to Vendors and/or Customers is required.Experience using a statistical software program (e.g., Minitab, JMP™) is required.Demonstrated experience with risk tools such as C&E and FMEAs is preferred. Polyimide related knowledge, analytical and material characterization techniques, and results interpretation skills are preferred.Experience working and managing projects in a global environment (both internal and external) with communications across cultures is preferred.6-sigma project certification is preferred.

Being clear, concise, and able to summarize complex cases into actionable plans is a key requirement. Hands on and fast learner. Candidate will need to be a generalist, take the initiative to learn key project info or customer issue status quickly, and translate into external customer communication or internal feedback to drive project completion.
