Job Title: Quality Engineer
Job Description

The Quality Engineer will play a crucial role in ensuring that the company products meet the highest quality standards and comply with industry regulations. This position requires a strong understanding of quality management systems, regulatory requirements, and the ability to conduct thorough quality audits. The Quality Engineer will work collaboratively with various departments to enhance product quality and ensure compliance with ISO 9001.

ResponsibilitiesDevelop, implement, and maintain a quality system in accordance with ISO 9001.Conduct regular quality audits to ensure compliance with internal and external standards.Perform quality inspections throughout the manufacturing process to identify defects or areas for improvement.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve quality issues and implement corrective actions.Document findings from quality inspections and audits, providing detailed reports on compliance status.Facilitate training sessions for staff on quality management practices and regulatory requirements.Assist in the fabrication of products by providing guidance on quality assurance practices.Essential SkillsQuality Engineering experience in a manufacturing environment.Experience conducting quality audits.Experience using quality management tools, machining, and CNC.Additional Skills & QualificationsEngineering Degree (highly preferred), but candidates with 5+ years of relevant experience will also be considered.Machining experience.Work Environment

The Quality Engineer will be the only Quality Engineer and will work cross-functionally with nearly every employee. This role offers the opportunity to wear multiple hats in a smaller company environment. The position typically involves a 40-hour work week, which may extend up to 45 hours depending on workload. The company is a major screw machine products manufacturer and supplier in the Midwest area, focusing on providing total customer satisfaction by continuously improving products, quality processes, and services. They serve industries such as automotive aftermarket, light/heavy duty truck, automotive OEMs, recreational vehicles, marine, cargo, industrial, and injection molding inserts.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $31.25 - $38.47
