Job Description
The Quality Engineer will be responsible for supporting current and future New Product Introductions. This role requires leading APQP and PPAP documentation processes, performing FAI with each customer requirement, identifying bottleneck areas within NPI phases, conducting root cause analysis, troubleshooting quality-related issues, and assisting with product and process audits while adhering to AS9145 and/or AS13100 standards.
ResponsibilitiesLead APQP and PPAP documentation processes.Perform First Article Inspections (FAI) in accordance with each customer requirement.Identify bottleneck areas within NPI phases and conduct root cause analysis.Troubleshoot quality-related issues alongside production teams.Assist with performing product and process audits.Adhere to AS9145 and/or AS13100 standards.Essential Skills5+ years of Quality Engineering experience.Experience performing/leading APQP/PPAP (Advanced Product Quality Planning / Production Part Approval Process) per AS9145 and/or AS13100.Experience with performing First Article Inspections.Understanding of GD&T and use of inspection equipment.Experience performing product and process audits.Aerospace or Automotive industry experience.Additional Skills & Qualifications10+ years of Quality Engineering experience.Experience supporting Big 3 Aerospace Engine OEMs: Rolls Royce, Pratt & Whitney, or GE Aerospace.Work Environment
The role is based in a manufacturing environment involving heavy machining (CNC, EDMs), automation, inspection (CMMs), welding, brazing, and heat treating. Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $80000.00 - $95000.00
