The Quality Engineer is responsible for developing, implementing, monitoring, and improving quality control of existing product lines. You will be responsible for creating quality standards and documentation, ensuring compliance to those standards, as well as identifying root cause issues and resolving them from concept design through production. You will work cross functionally to support the design and manufacturing of cooking products manufactured in our Baltimore facility.
Job Description
Responsibilities (80% Core Essential Functions)
Develop quality standards, metrics, and warranty goals for all parts, products, and manufacturing proceduresMonitor the entire product cycle and perform regular testing to ensure conformity with quality standardsProvide root cause analysis and technical support to the production team, sales, and service as requiredSupport Purchasing in the establishment of suppliers and ongoing supplier product qualityInitiate requests for corrective action and implementation as requiredIssue and support engineering documentation including drawings, work instructions, quality alerts, and customer manualsDrive continuous improvement projects related to improving quality and reliabilitySupport reliability and FMEA requirements during development as well as coordinate product reliability/life testingEnsure products comply with existing safety, sanitation, and energy requirements as well as upcoming changes to state and federal regulations

Foster a collaborative culture of total quality management Lead ongoing evaluation of warranty metrics and opportunities to improve product quality, reliability, and warranty reductionSupervisory Responsibilities
This position has no direct reports.QualificationsEducation and Work Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Quality or Engineering, with a minimum of five (5) years' experience in manufacturing operations (e.g., food & beverage, textiles, automotive, electronics, etc.).COMPETENCIES
Ability to problem solve, lead, communicate, and execute engineering initiativesComfortable working with cross functional team including operations, purchasing, and technical serviceIn-depth understanding of metal fabrication processes, manufacturing, and aftermarket technical supportFamiliarity with the construction of gas-fired and/or electrical cooking appliances.Additional Information
