Quality Engineer
Job Description: Quality Engineer We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Quality Engineer to monitor production assembly processes and improve efficiency. The ideal candidate will participate in production team meetings to drive continuous improvement, establish and monitor inspection plans based on customer acceptance criteria, and ensure compliance with our Quality Management System. Strong communication and organizational skills are essential as you will work with a range of personnel, including Engineers, Manufacturing personnel, management resources, and U.S. Government representatives. Responsibilities + Monitor production assembly processes to improve efficiency. + Participate in production team meetings to drive continuous improvement. + Establish and monitor inspection plans based on customer required acceptance criteria. + Ensure compliance with customer requirements and our Quality Management System. + Provide Engineering assistance for lot acceptance test requirements. + Write and incorporate detailed work instructions. + Plan and conduct quality audits and convey findings through formal reporting. + Manage internal audits and support day-to-day operations with quality inspectors. Essential Skills + 5+ years of experience in quality engineering. + Experience with ISO 9001 standards. + Ability to develop and implement corrective action plans. + Experience conducting audits and creating control plans. + Proficiency with GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing). + Experience in the defense industry, particularly with DoD and Military entities. + Ability to understand and apply military standards. + Experience with reject verification and inspections in a shop floor/assembly environment. + Strong problem-solving skills, including root cause analysis. + Familiarity with quality assurance practices such as PPAP and first article inspection. + Proficiency with Minitab or similar quality management software. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Experience with munitions and firearms. + Ability to manage supplier quality and ensure government compliance. + Ambitious and hands-on approach, with the ability to think quickly in a fast-paced environment. + Four-year degree is not necessary; relevant experience is key. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $75000.00 - $95000.00 Company benefits will be shared upon initial conversation with Actalent and any related questions can be answered at this time.
