Quality Engineer
Job Title: Quality EngineerJob Description As a Quality Engineer, you will create quality plans for production-ready products and products entering the first production phase. You will provide expertise for the preparation, evaluation, and assessment of documentation relative to processes encountered during the manufacturing, inspection, and test phases of programs. Additionally, you will work with production and inspection teams to solve issues, collect data, and present meaningful metrics pointing to opportunities for improvement. Responsibilities + Create quality plans for production-ready products and products entering the first production phase. + Provide expertise for the preparation, evaluation, and assessment of documentation relative to processes encountered during the manufacturing, inspection, and test phases of programs. + Work with production and inspection teams to solve issues, collect data, and present meaningful metrics pointing to opportunities for improvement. + Create First Article Inspection documentation. + Support PCA (Physical Configuration Audit) and FCA (Functional Configuration Audit). + Witness DVT and Qualification Testing. + Review requirement validation objective evidence. + Support Failure Reporting Analysis and Corrective Action (FRACA) for failures discovered during testing. + Participate in the Material Review Board process, as needed. + Develop and implement new or improve existing internal operating procedures and work instructions. + Create Corrective Action Requests (CAR) and ensure timely resolution of corrective actions. + Conduct Internal Audits and manage/maintain the Audit Schedule. + Perform review of documentation on final hardware to ensure accuracy, completeness, and correct data is provided. + Perform final release of finished hardware and notify the Quality Manager of clearance to ship. Essential Skills + 3-5 years of experience in Quality Engineering. + Experience with development programs and transition to production. + Knowledge of IPC/J-STD/MIL and DOD standards. + Experience with configuration control. + Familiarity with material traceability processes and tools. + Experience with circuit card assembly, circuit card integration, and mechanical assemblies. + Knowledge of military hardware manufacturing. + Audit experience. + Experience with AS9100 and ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Experience with ISO 9001 or AS9100 Quality Management Systems, strongly preferred. + Experience applying audit standards, procedures, and techniques, strongly preferred. Work Environment This position is onsite in Huntsville, AL. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $29.80 - $40.00 Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
