Quality Engineer

As the Quality Engineer, you will ensure compliance with customer requirements by developing, improving, and maintaining robust quality systems and continuous improvement initiatives. Reporting to the Quality Manager, you will oversee the Quality Business System, manage corrective actions, and collaborate with various departments and suppliers to uphold ISO 9001 standards and other applicable quality standards.

You Will:

Manage, improve, and maintain the Quality Business System and oversee the Corrective and Preventive Action System.

Lead the Internal Audit Process, ensuring compliance with ISO 9001 and other quality standards.

Develop and deploy quality initiatives to achieve business objectives.

Conduct capability studies on manufacturing equipment, including equipment installation run-offs and gage R&R studies.

Provide resources and expertise for new product development, identifying critical quality requirements and implementing proper quality plans.

Apply statistical analysis to support in-process quality requirements and collaborate with Production Management.

Perform Supplier/Customer capability assessments and engage with suppliers on PPAP, SCAR, and CI activities.

Validate certification testing for compliance with ANSI, CSA, NSF, UL, and other governing bodies.

Coordinate and support external agency inspection audits and contribute to domestic/international codes and standards activities.

Represent Quality Assurance in Leadership Team meetings.

Lead In-Process and Supplier Material Review Board Meetings, making decisions based on acceptance criteria and product specifications. Interact across all departments to establish and maintain quality standards.

You Have:

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related business field.

5+ years of experience implementing Total Quality concepts in a manufacturing environment.

Experience with Statistical Process Control, advanced analytical techniques, and Lean Six Sigma methodologies.

Comprehensive knowledge of engineering, Lean Six Sigma, and quality principles.

Working knowledge of design-related software (e.g., AutoCAD) and experience in basic Metrology and Calibration.

Lean Six Sigma Black Belt Certification preferred.

The expected salary range for this position is $105,000 - $125,000 yearly. Actual compensation will be dependent upon individual skills, experience, qualifications, and applicable laws.

Physical Requirements:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to walk, talk, and/or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand, sit, and use hands to finger, handle, or feel. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include: close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment:

Work in both office and manufacturing environment. May occasionally be required to perform job duties outside the typical office setting.
