Job Description
The quality engineer will be responsible for supporting the development and maintenance of quality control and assurance management systems to assure that products manufactured by the organization meet customer specifications and achieve superior quality levels.
ResponsibilitiesInvestigate and determine root cause for customer and internal preventative actionsPrepare product certification documentation required to demonstrate complianceSupport vendor qualification, auditing, onboarding, and performance managementConduct process capability analysis and prepare statistical process control charts aligned with customer needs and internal capabilitiesExecute the metrology program for quality test equipment, ensuring internal and external calibration and verification activities are completed and maintained as current throughout the manufacturing processAssist with management of the quality hold area and complete appropriate documentation to ensure control of nonconforming productDrive continuous improvements to improve process capability, increase quality, and reduce wasteTroubleshoot quality issues on the production floor using analytical approach and data analysis, working with the production team towards a resolutionSupport the internal audit programEssential SkillsQuality engineeringSix SigmaQuality managementRoot cause analysisContinuous improvementISO standardsInternal auditAdditional Skills & QualificationsBachelors Degree in Engineering Discipline5+ years' experience as a quality engineerSix Sigma Green BeltExperience in the medical industry or automotive industryWork Environment
The work environment includes a manufacturing environment and an office environment, with business casual dress code. The standard work hours are from 7am to 4pm. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $110000.00 - $115000.00
