We’re seeking a proactive and dynamic Quality Engineer to join our Auckland team- North Shore and initially oversee a critical first year of taking ownership of establishing and maintaining our ISO 9001 Quality Management System (QMS)

**Te kōwhiringa | The Opportunity**
In your first year, your focus will be on managing and transforming processes for our Sydney operations, with 80% of your time dedicated to:
Online System Migration: Transferring all business processes to an online system (Confluence) +Streamlining and modernising workflows for efficiency and transparency.
Process Optimisation & Metrics: Evaluating current processes – critical assess if they’re being followed, are effective, and if they suit business operations. Establishing metrics: setting targets, and creating systems to monitor business excellence and ensure visibility of results.
Stakeholder Communication & Alignment: Driving consistency through clear + continuous stakeholder engagement. Building trust and confidence, influencing diverse teams to align with business goals.
Once these objectives are achieved, the focus will shift to implementing similar processes in Auckland, specifically supporting product design and manufacturing for payment terminals. This role has an amazing perk for you to travel internationally (up to 20%).
**Nga pūkenga matua | Important Skills**
Experience in mechatronics, assembly and manufacturing- highly desired
Experience in product design and stage-gating process desired
5-7 years of experience in Quality Management Systems and Assurance, coupled with a relevant tertiary qualification
Experience Implementing and maintain an ISO 9001 program or similar
Training in Lean, 5S, or Six Sigma methodologies
Understanding of measurement, inspection and testing methods of components and products
Knowledge of APQP or similar quality planning methods, ISO standards, and Configuration Management controls
