Quality Engineer

Reporting to the Senior Director-Quality, the Quality Engineer will be responsible for projects that identify, analyze, and resolve quality improvement opportunities throughout the organization. The ideal candidate is a well-organized, detail-oriented professional with a continuous improvement mindset who embodies the culture of Quality and Operational Excellence. 

What you will do:

Lead quality improvement projects – including (but not limited to) root cause analysis, corrective action implementation, and results monitoringLiaise with operational stakeholders, providing guidance and assistance in support of continuous improvement initiatives Identify relevant best practices and support their implementationMaintain existing quality practices through audits and inspections of key processes and components/productsSupport other Quality Engineering related activities as required
 

Minimum Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering3-5 years of experience in a similar roleDetail oriented with excellent problem-solving and data-analysis skills Excellent communication skills with the ability to foster and build strong relationshipsExperience with Lean, Six Sigma, and similar tools and techniquesKnowledge of electrical industry standards, such as CSA and ESAKnowledge of the basic functions and design of automated switchgears and control circuits is an assetProficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Teams, Excel, PowerPoint) Proficient with ERP (Oracle), PLM (Smarteam, 3DX), and CAD software (SolidEdge, Microstation)
 

Physical Effort:

Normal or frequent minor physical effort required for the day-to-day activity in the workplace. May involve standing, sitting, walking, climbing stairs and lifting/moving/using objects or equipment up to 5kg/11lbs
