Stratasys Direct Manufacturing (SDM) is looking for a **Quality Engineer** to develop and maintain internal quality systems that ensure compliance with customer and regulatory standards. This role will focus on driving continuous improvements in products, services, and processes to exceed customer expectations, enhance quality, identify efficiencies, and reduce overall costs.
**What you will be doing:**
+ Perform blueprint/drawing/contract review to allow proper planning and inspection
+ Provide inspection lead time quotes
+ Develops, implements, and trains Quality department personnel to procedures and equipment needed in production/quality for new or ongoing production
+ Works with Operations management to train employees to quality processes and procedures
+ Develops and update’s customer/part specific Quality Work Instructions for receiving, in-process, and final inspections
+ Manages technical CAPAs
+ Researches and implements various quality processes as required
+ Assess risk and provide solutions to production challenges
+ Implements systemic improvements
+ Perform internal and supplier audits as required
+ Assists with customer and third-party audits
+ Collaborates with sales and customer service teams to manage customer complaints and customer returns by acting as a facilitator for the Material Review Board. Generates a written response to customer’s request for corrective action
+ Collaborates with purchasing and engineering teams to resolve vendor nonconformances by acting as a facilitator for the Material Review Board. Generates a request for corrective action and enters the vendor’s response into Stratasys’ corrective action tracking system
+ Collaborates with operations to implement process improvements
+ Collaborates with Quality Management in maintaining ISO 9001 & AS9100 registrations and regulatory conformance
+ Interface with suppliers to secure services necessary to meet customer requirements
**Must have for this role:**
_As a part of Stratasys, this position requires access to information and/or technology controlled under the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) or the Export Administration Regulations (EAR). The successful candidate must be a U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S. (or, green card holder), a protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State._
+ Four-year degree in Quality or another related field
+ 3+ years’ experience in quality, operations or ISO regulated production environment
+ Comprehensive understanding of GD&T
+ Proficient in root cause analysis, troubleshooting and problem solving
+ Computer proficiency with MS Windows, MS Office and software
+ Excellent personal, organizational, verbal and written communication skills
+ Strong customer interface skills
+ Good organizational skills
+ Ability to work well with others
**Nice to have:**
+ Comprehensive understanding of inspection methodologies and equipment
+ Knowledge of Quality Management Systems AS9100 and/or ISO9001
+ Quality experience in a manufacturing or service bureau environment
+ Comprehensive knowledge of statistical process control (SPC)
+ Proficient technical writer
**Travel required:** 25%, domestic travel
