Job Description
We are seeking a candidate who:
· Possesses an adaptable character and passion for sustainable process improvement and compliance.
· Will assist the Quality Manager in promoting a “culture of quality and compliance” within a dynamic team environment meeting both internal and external customer requirements.
· Is knowledgeable in process improvement and key performance indicator (KPI) reporting.
· Can Identify, control, mitigate, and improve processes related to process and product non-conformances through application of Root Cause and Corrective Action.
· Will contribute to project teams and lead projects as needed or assigned.
· Can successfully work with all functional departments to ensure product, process, and service compliance and support on-time delivery to the customer.
· Interacts well with Engineering, Project Management, and Configuration Management for product and process related support.
· Can advise functional and project managers regarding QMS driven processes and procedures within their own areas of responsibility.
· Assures that hands-on evaluation of product compliance is performed throughout all product life-cycle phases from Receiving Inspection to final inspection.
· Supports product inspection, testing, and calibration functions by inspecting parts, preparing inspection instructions, sampling plans, statistical analyses, quality standards, quality forms, etc.
· Participates in the internal audit program to assure compliance to ISO 9000 and AS9100 requirements at the local site as well as other KBR locations as needed by the internal audit program.
· Actively engages in the internal audit program to ensure adequate and thorough objective evidence factors are driving continuous improvement to processes and operations impacting the Quality Management System.
· Maintains compliance of KBR’s system for control of Customer/External Provider owned assets.
· Assists in the development and implementation of value-added quality training that impacts the organization and its customers.
· Participate in Specification and Contract review for the quality team to assure adherence to requirements within scope and capability of the organization.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in an Engineering or technical discipline or a minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar Quality role.
Experience in a production or manufacturing environment with strong computer skills in the Microsoft Office applications to include: MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, and MS Visio.
Ability to analyze and present technical information and graphically tabulate data in a meaningful way.
Proven time management and organizational communication skills
Preferred Skills
Ability to establish priorities, work independently, and proceed with objectives without supervision.
Proficient in the use of Air Force or other DoD technical manuals, policies, and regulations.
General understanding of Program and Project Management processes and basic related tools
Knowledge of engineering tools to include AutoCAD, Solidworks, and Solidworks PDM
Knowledge and applied experience with Quality Management Systems, Lean Manufacturing, Root Cause and Corrective Action, Material Review Board (MRB), manufacturing and production processes, OSHA environmental and regulatory requirements, and Government owned asset controls
Additional training or professional certifications (Certified Quality Engineer, Six Sigma Green Belt, ISO/AS9100 Lead Auditor).
Knowledge in processing and non-destructive inspection and/or Testing theory and application.
