As a Quality Engineer, you will be an essential part of a team of professionals who make our parks and resorts safe and sustainable, and brimming with Disney "magic." **Job Overview** As a Quality Engineer (QE) with the Worldwide Safety Assurance Quality Engineering team, you will provide technical safety, compliance assurance, and oversight for Walt Disney World and Disney Cruise Line attractions, transportation systems, and entertainment shows and venues. The Quality Engineer exercises broad discretion while providing required expert technical guidance to ensure that our attractions, transportation systems, and entertainment venues are compliant with applicable Regulations, Standards, and Codes. **Responsibilities** + Perform required inspections, audits, and related efforts to support the annual Florida State affidavit program for assigned registered attractions. + Provide general Quality Engineering support to internal partners, such as Engineering, Engineering Services, Central Shops, Entertainment and Operations. + Assist in developing compliance-related processes and procedures, including internal and external standards. + Review and assess alignment of requirements and frequency between Manufacturer’s Requirements, Operating Guides, Job Plans, and maintenance criteria. + Participate in hazard analysis, design, and delivery reviews for compliance with codes and standards. + Establish and follow a framework for identifying the completion of all necessary documentation, including drawings, manuals, procedures, training, and certification to permit and ensure the safe use of the system by Cast and Guests. **Basic Qualifications** + Experience in Engineering, showing increasing levels of responsibility. + Experience with design, installation, and commissioning of complex systems that meet regulatory and industrial standards. + Proven knowledge of Maximo, EDMS, and AutoCAD. + Engineer in Training (EIT) or equivalent state certification/license. + Ability to work after hours and off-shift hours as required. + Demonstrated strong written and verbal communication skills; able to present complex data relationships in concise and straightforward presentations. + Ability to manage, balance, and prioritize multiple projects. **Preferred Qualifications** + Previous experience with the amusement park and themed entertainment industry + Previous experience with the cruise line industry + Familiarity with industry regulatory, compliance standards and processes + Florida Professional Engineer’s License + American Society for Quality Certifications **Required Education** Bachelor's degree in Engineering. **Additional Information** The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.
