Actalent is looking for a Quality Engineer for a role immediately. This person will be responsible for the following:
Description:
The focus will be on developing and implementing new and improved inspection techniques on multiple production stagesCollaborating with sales, engineering, manufacturing, and customers to investigate and address complaints, defective products, and quality problemsDaily 'hands-on' inspection layout responsibilities to assist with in-process, receiving, and final inspectionCoordinating and communicating activities within Quality Assurance, as well as with other functional departments to meet customer on-time-delivery requirements.Customer-facing responsibilities which include non-conformance review, driving root cause analysis, and documenting corrective actionsAnalyze complaint data to identify hidden trends and initiate corresponding corrective actionsEvaluate and approve raw material, in-process production, and finished products by confirming specifications; conducting visual, and measurement verifications and testsBecome an expert on all aspects of gaging, including gage selection, procurement, calibration, maintenance, and training of operators/inspectors in how to use gages/equipmentParticipate in the development of Control/Inspection Plans, SOPs, and Work InstructionsAssist in the development of the quality management system and support the company’s initiative to obtain ISO9001 certificationPerform audits, internal and at the supplier levelAssist in identifying & driving continuous improvement opportunitiesMUST HAVES:
BS Degree in Engineering (electrical/electronic preferred)Degree with 2 plus years experience, OR 5 years quality engineering-related experienceKnowledge of Six Sigma toolsAbility to read and interpret blueprints, and drawings, and follow directionsAdvanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel; pivot tables, statistical trending, data analysis, etc.Must be able to lift and handle heavy parts up to 30 lbs.Must be able to bend, squat, kneel, or climb a stepladder while working.Must have good vision to inspect parts and assembliesPay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $75000.00 - $90000.00/yr.
