We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Engineer to manage customer accounts, develop and oversee the Quality Management System, drive continuous improvement initiatives, and ensure the highest standards of product and service quality. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in hydraulics and mechanical systems and possess excellent problem-solving skills.
Responsibilities
+ Manage key foundational customer accounts and resolve complex issues.
+ Drive resolution to systemic issues within the organization.
+ Develop procedures and work instructions required per the Quality Management System and manage the review and approval processes.
+ Act as a subject matter expert and provide guidance on Quality System activities.
+ Promote a strategic mindset and commitment to continuous improvement across the operation.
+ Define improvement goals and establish accountability through SQDRC metrics.
+ Utilize Lean/Six Sigma tools and techniques to continually improve processes and business results.
+ Promote safety and housekeeping and use facilitative leadership.
+ Assemble, analyze, and monitor company and customer metrics, implementing improvements for Quality performance.
+ Lead and mentor advanced quality planning processes such as PPAP, FAI, MSA, FMEA, and SPC.
+ Act as the customer liaison/advocate for compliance to customer quality requirements and customer satisfaction.
Essential Skills
+ Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Quality Engineer
+ Background in Hydraulics and Mechanical systems
+ Inspection capability, including the use of Calipers
+ Strong problem-solving skills, including Root Cause and Corrective Action
+ Ability to identify trends and defects using Statistical Process Control
+ Good communication skills and ability to work with a cross-functional team
+ Experience in a Manufacturing/Assembly environment
+ Basic MS Office skills
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Experience with Production Part Approval Process (PPAP)
+ Experience with First Article Inspection (FAI)
+ Knowledge of Measurement System Analysis (MSA)
+ Experience with Failure Modes & Effects Analysis (FMEA)
+ Familiarity with Statistical Process Control (SPC)
Work Environment
The work environment includes a manufacturing and assembly setting. The role may involve using various inspection tools and techniques and working with cross-functional teams. A commitment to safety, housekeeping, and continuous improvement is essential.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $52.00/hr.
