Eaton’s ES AMER PCS division is currently seeking a Quality Engineer. This position offers benefits from day one and requires onsite presence. Candidates must reside within 80km of Airdrie, Alberta, Canada.

Position Overview:
Eaton is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Quality Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that our products meet the highest standards of quality and reliability. This role involves working closely with various departments to develop and implement quality control processes, monitor performance, and drive continuous improvement.
In this function you will:
Develop and maintain technical specifications, including torques, wire sizes, and other relevant parameters.Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.Establish and enforce acceptance quality criteria (PASS/FAIL) for products.Conduct Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (PFMEA) to identify and mitigate potential risks.Create and implement quality control plans to ensure consistent product quality.Monitor quality control processes throughout production to ensure adherence to standards.Perform capability studies to assess process performance and identify areas for improvement.Define, monitor, and implement action plans for quality metrics along the production process.Implement Industry 4.0 technologies to enhance quality control processes and improve efficiency.Conduct root cause analysis using methodologies such as 8D, A3, and Fishbone to identify and resolve quality issuesDevelop and execute corrective action plans to prevent recurrence of quality issuesQualifications:
Required (Basic) Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field.At least 3 years of experience in quality engineering or in a similar role.Strong knowledge of technical specifications, standards, and quality control processes (ISO9001 and CSA N299).Experience with PFMEA, quality control plans, and process capability studiesLegally authorized to work in Canada without company sponsorship.No relocation provided – candidate must reside within 80km of the Airdrie, AB site.
Preferred Qualifications:
Certification in Quality Engineering (CQE) or related certifications.Experience with statistical process control (SPC) and Six Sigma methodologies.Familiarity with quality management systems (QMS) and ISO standards.
