This role will utilize critical control methods and processes to identify and capture quality failures within the organization and prevent quality escapes. The Quality Engineer will develop quality specifications for Engineering, Procurement, Production, and Service, apply Statistical Process Control (SPC) as needed, respond to customer challenges, and set up third-party assessments. Additionally, this role involves raw material, component, and finished good inspections, ensuring compliance with ISO 9001:2015 requirements and relevant industry standards for building materials. Essential Skills + Quality engineering + Lean manufacturing + ISO 9000 + 2+ years of experience as a Quality Engineer + Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering or 5 years in a Quality Organization + ISO 9000 standards + Lean Six Sigma + Quality assurance + Root cause analysis + ISO standards + Statistical analysis + Industrial engineering + Green belt or Black belt certification + Raw material quality inspection + Corrective action plans + Quality management system + ISO 9001 + Continuous improvement processes Additional Skills & Qualifications + Lean Six Sigma Certification (green or black belt) a plus + Bilingual Spanish/English preferred Work Environment The worker is sometimes subject to noise, requiring shouting to be heard above the ambient noise level. The role includes office area exposure with heavy computer use as well as manufacturing area exposure to moving mechanical parts, oils/solvents, fumes, and odors that may affect the eyes, ears, nose, throat, and/or skin. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $85000.00 - $95000.00/yr.
