Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Quality Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our aerospace products through thorough analysis, testing, and collaboration with various teams. Responsibilities
+ Lead Root Cause & Corrective Action (RCCA) team in performing root cause failure analysis on field returns and present findings in an orderly and timely manner.
+ Participate in weekly Material Review Board (MRB) meetings alongside a team of engineers to make educated and informed decisions regarding non-conforming material (NCM).
+ Prepare and review First Article Inspections (FAIs), Acceptance Test Procedures (ATPs), Quality Procedures, Inspection Plans, Engineering Change Notices (ECNs), Quality Manuals, and Alerts for various military and commercial aircraft programs.
+ Participate in high-speed and icing wind tunnel testing of early stage development products across multiple programs, including Apache, Boeing P-8A, Cessna, Mitac, and perform thermal analysis of ice accumulation on leading edges (horizontal and vertical stabilizers).
+ Design and construct test fixtures to conduct functionality tests for Boeing's P-8A Navy Program.
+ Conduct conference calls and meetings with customers and FAA regulators to present and review FAI submission for approval and buyer sign off.
+ Review Manufacturing Procedures (MPs) and apply lean manufacturing methods to increase efficiency and overall quality assurance.
+ Ensure dimensional requirements of select products via a FARO Arm and create tools for inspection and prototyping using AutoDesk Inventor and a 3D printer.
Essential Skills
+ Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering.
+ Experience with root cause and corrective action investigation.
+ Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
+ Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
+ Extensive knowledge of, or the ability to learn, the organization’s production processes.
+ Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to serve as a liaison with developers, project managers, and customer support.
+ Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
+ Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
+ Knowledge of First Article Inspection Reports per AS 9102.
+ Material Review Board experience.
+ 2+ years of experience in Quality Engineering, aerospace, or other regulated industry.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Quality certifications such as CQE, CQA, or similar are preferred.
+ Experience as a Quality Engineer in aerospace or other regulated industry is advantageous.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $46.00/hr.
