Job Description

This position is responsible for performing activities to ensure successful launch of new part numbers – including new launches specifically but not only for GM as customer. Responsible to support complete life cycle of product quality, specific focus on launch and series production support. Duties and tasks are frequently non-routine

Supporting Customer and Program Teams to ensure new programs and running changes are successfully launched per customer requirements and timing. Bosch readinessEnsure quality related activities are completed per PPAP TimingEnsure all Pre-Production and Running Change PPAP documentation is completed per the Bosch Automotive Steering, Bosch Quality System requirements including Customer specific items.Support Production in the development of the following: Process Flow Diagrams, PFMEAs, Control Plans etc.Review new processes to ensure that the Process Capability requirements are metSupport Production as needed to plan, and design required gauging for new and current production changesProvide support at Customer Locations during the Launch Phase of the programSupport SPC Analysis studies on measurement processes to ensure they meet minimum requirementsServe as the primary customer and internal contact for all internal and external quality issues related to applicable product lines / customer(s).Support failure analysis and review of Pre production failures. (0-mile and Field Returns after SOP)Support internal corrective action teams (initiate meeting) by utilizing various quality tools and processes to identify the root cause of a problem and support (Sponsor and Lead) with implementing effective corrective actions.Support continuous improvement activities for safety, quality, and productivitySupport internal analysis teams by utilizing software and electrical diagnostic tools, oscilloscopes, multi-meter to interpret and understand the root cause of a failure.

QualificationsDegree in an Engineering discipline.3+ years’ experience in automotive manufacturing environment.Experience with VDA/IATF customersKnowledge in GM customer specific requirements & portal Superior written and oral communication skills to independently prepare and deliver presentations for internal and external audiences, including all levels inside the organization.Strong team facilitation skills and the ability to motivate teams and individuals not in a direct line of control to advance on improvement projects.Ability to interface with the organization to solve problems.Trained and well understanding of the core tools (APQP, FMEA, CP, SPC)Ability to lead root cause analysis through the required tools for an effective detection of countermeasures. Well understanding of the 8D methodology, acting as a team leaderAdvanced level of english language for written and verbal communication with internal and external customerWell organized and structured mindset to handle complex situations.
