Job Title: Quality Engineer
Job Description

Assure product quality from design through assembly operations. Provide leadership in failure analysis and corrective action to prevent defects from happening in the manufacturing and assembly operations. The Quality Engineer will also serve as a quality representative, providing input on the manufacturability and serviceability of designs. Utilizing failure and defect reports, the role will assist in making recommendations to improve quality.

ResponsibilitiesPerform failure and defect analysis in cooperation with Engineering and Manufacturing to determine appropriate corrective actions for quality problems and follow-up to ensure these actions are implemented.Conduct in-process audits to identify production problems before products are submitted to Final Inspection.Plan and execute quality measures for incoming material, manufactured components, assemblies, and finished products.Assist in establishing effective inspection sampling plans and quality audits to ensure cost-effective compliance with customer expectations and specifications.Essential Skills3-5 years of experience in quality engineering with a focus on manufacturing quality and process improvement.Proficiency in PPAP, root cause analysis, and statistical process control (SPC).Strong understanding of quality standards, quality control, and quality assurance.Experience in conducting audits and statistical analysis.Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field.Additional Skills & QualificationsTraining in SPC and other quality tools used for process improvement.Knowledge of SCAR, CAPA, CpK, PPAP, control plans, and non-conformance management.Work Environment

The position is based in a clean facility and involves a mix of desk work and on-the-floor activities. The Quality Engineer will have a dedicated desk and will use various tools to manage suppliers and improve supplier performance.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $55.00/hr.
