You will be the Quality Engineer for the Missiles & Fire Control team. Our team is responsible for delivering high-quality products to customers in a fast-paced production and development environment, leveraging technical expertise and critical thinking to drive success.
What You Will Be Doing
As the Quality Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of quality products to customers by analyzing and resolving complex design, manufacturing, and process issues. Your responsibilities will include:
• Reviewing documentation for internal and external manufacturing processes to ensure quality products
• Analyzing quality data to identify trends and support production sites
• Resolving design, manufacturing, and process issues
• Participating in corrective action meetings and Material Review Boards
• Conducting assessments and audits to ensure compliance with specifications and procedures
• Evaluating design assurance activities and production process methodology
• Interfacing with customers, suppliers, and program personnel on quality issues
• Utilizing lean initiatives for continuous improvement
• Making final decisions on product acceptability
• Supporting Quality operations in Production and Lab Environments

MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - This position is located at a facility that requires special access. The selected candidate must be able to obtain a secret clearance.
Basic Qualifications:
STEM degree at the bachelors level or higher, preferably in a Technical, Industrial or Quality Assurance related field
MUST be able to obtain a SECRET clearance.
Engineering or Quality experience developing methods, work instructions and procedures for inspection of manufactured products.
An understanding of engineering drawings requirements mechanical and electrical inspection methods.
Ability to interpret Drawings, Specifications, Contracts that will enable development and review of QE Processes, and related Performance Metrics.
Demonstrated ability to use casual analysis tools to analyze and resolve technical/process issues varying from basic to very complex.
Awareness of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
Knowledge of Configuration and Data Management.
Proficient skill level with Microsoft Office applications:
Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
Demonstrated presentation skills.
Effective interpersonal skills including team building and collaboration.
Effective communication skills including written, oral, listening and technical writing.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to work in a dynamic environment.
Ability to travel 25%-50%.
Desired Skills:
Lean Six Sigma Certification (Green Belt / Black Belt)
ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CSQ) and / or Certified
Quality Improvement Associate (CQIA)
Thorough understanding in AS9100 and ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems
Demonstrated team leadership skills
Customer Relationship Management skills
Experience working with Government customers
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
