Quality Engineer (Continuous Improvement Engineer)
Job Title: Quality Engineer (Continuous Improvement Engineer) Job Description For more than 50 years, our client has been at the forefront of compressed air solutions, pioneering rotary screw technology and developing long-lasting compressor fluids in collaboration with leading industry partners. As part of an international network, they continuously strive to improve processes and achieve quality goals. The Quality Engineer (Continuous Improvement Engineer) plays a critical role in this mission by analyzing processes for improvement opportunities and leading cross-functional projects using Lean Six Sigma concepts. Responsibilities + Predict future Cost of Poor Quality (COPQ) based on product reliability analysis results. + Measure and drive internal quality performance improvements for Quality KPIs, including COPQ. + Lead and assist root cause analysis investigations for key customer quality issues and COPQ. + Investigate and analyze processes across functions for gaps and bottlenecks based on standards, best practices, and performance metrics. + Work with operations on process evaluation and continuous improvement. + Lead projects to improve the quality of processes, products, and components due to internal/external findings, customer complaints, and warranty analysis. + Perform joint analysis of complex problems with Engineering, Manufacturing, Supplier Quality, and other departments to determine root cause and support development of countermeasures. Essential Skills + Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Technology, or a related degree (Flex Associates). + 5+ years of quality experience in the manufacturing industry. + Experience in Root Cause Analysis, Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, 5Y, 8D, ASQ, CQE Wishbone from industrial, automotive, heavy equipment, or DOD/Aerospace sectors. + Ability to use and interpret/analyze data to lead continuous improvement projects. + Experience with SAP/ERP or similar systems. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Bachelor's Degree. + Both Mechanical and Electrical experience. + Knowledge of Power BI. Work Environment The role involves spending 70-80% of the time on the floor or in the lab, and 20-30% in the office. The work environment includes assembly and machining separate buildings with offices in building 1, where you will have your own cubicle. The offices are currently being updated/renovated.
