Quality Engineer – Electronics

We are looking for an Electronics Quality Engineer to join our Shelby team!

As our Electronics Quality Engineer you will, design, implement and maintain quality assurance protocols and methods for processing materials into partially finished or finished products. You will be responsible for planning, implementing and managing compliance of manufacturing and production processes with internal and external safety, quality and regulatory standards requirements for worldwide distribution. Designs methods and procedures for inspecting, testing and evaluating the precision and accuracy of production processes, production equipment and finished products. You will perform analysis of reports and production data to identify trends and recommend updates or changes to quality standards and procedures when necessary. Additionally, you will drive compliance to in-house and/or external specifications and standards (i.e. GLP, GMP, ISO, Six Sigma).  May prepares and provide product/process assurance documentation as required by customer programs.

Your Challenge

Develops, applies and revises quality standards for receiving, in-process and final inspection in accordance with company and contractual requirements.Reviews and evaluates in-process rejections, obtains disposition and implements corrective action as needed.May interface with customers, vendors and various company departments to resolve quality problems and provide information.Participates in internal & external audits.Provides technical support to inspection personnel as needed related to mechanical and electronic hardware.May prepare and provide product assurance documentation as required by customer programs.Perform Risk Analysis & Mitigation using PFMEA, Control Plans and Measurement System AnalysisPerforms task associated with electronic hardware and software process assurance in line with DO-254 and DO-178

What You Bring

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/Quality or equivalent experience.Must be a U.S Citizen.Internal lead auditor certification; LEAN/Six Sigma green belt certification or equivalent experience.Strong oral and written communication skills with knowledge of MS Office.2-3 years of experience in a technical environment.Recent practical experience in electronics hardware and software process assuranceAPQP/PPAP experience a plus (PFD, PFMEA, Control Plan, etc.)
