Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Quality Engineer to provide onsite quality engineering support for aerospace manufacturing processes. The role focuses on assessing and resolving non-conformances, troubleshooting workflows, and driving continuous improvement through root cause analysis and corrective actions. This position is critical in ensuring compliance with quality management systems and maintaining high standards in aerospace manufacturing operations.
Job Duties:
* Drive the reduction of non-conformances by assessing deviated materials and parts to determine resolutions.
* Troubleshoot processes and workflows for components to identify and address inefficiencies.
* Collaboratively conduct Root Cause Analysis and implement Corrective Actions (RCCA) for nonconforming products, supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
* Support the implementation and monitoring of objective quality control plans.
* Conduct Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP), including PFMEA and PPAP, in alignment with Quality Management System (QMS) procedures.
* Recommend or develop process changes to reduce gaps, variation, and defects in manufacturing operations.
Core Qualifications:
* Bachelor"s Degree in Engineering or equivalent experience in aerospace quality engineering.
* Prior experience in aerospace manufacturing is strongly desired.
* Hands-on experience with Material Review Board (MRB) processes and Manufacturing Process Reviews.
* Proficiency with PFMEA, PPAP, and a variety of quality tools and systems.
* Strong expertise in root cause analysis and corrective actions (RCCA).
* Comprehensive knowledge of ISO and AS9100 quality standards, manufacturing processes, blueprints, and specifications.
* U.S. Citizenship is required due to the nature of the work.
Preferred Qualifications:
* Experience with APQP processes and methodologies.
* Familiarity with software tools such as SAP, Team Center, Solumina, and DIOS.
* AS9100 REV-D Internal Audit certification is a plus.
* Advanced proficiency in MS Excel for data analysis and reporting.
