Quality Engineer (PPAP)
Job Title: Quality Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Quality Engineer (PPAP) to join our manufacturing team. The successful candidate will work closely with customers to ensure all quality documentation, such as PPAPs, is submitted on time and will follow parts through the engineering process, updating PPAP documentation and Control Plans for manufacturing.

ResponsibilitiesCreate and edit PPAP documents, including level 3 PPAPs and Control Plans.Ensure all quality documentation is submitted on time.Assist with corrective action reporting as needed.Perform First Article inspections and create reports (FAI’s).Originate and implement inspection procedures and plans.Communicate quality issues with customers, purchasing, engineering, quality, customer service, and sales personnel.Assist Quality Managers in addressing customer complaints, QR’s, CAR’s, and 8D reports within specified timeframes.Review and initiate RMA, MR’s, and Nonconformance Reports via UniPoint.Conduct Process Capabilities Studies, GR&R, and FMEA’s as part of APQP’s and NPI’s processes.Essential SkillsAssociates Degree or Bachelors Degree in Engineering is a plus.2+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment (metals or plastics).Good understanding of PPAP and submittal processExperience in creating and editing PPAP documents.Understanding of Control Plan process and First Article inspection reporting.Ability to communicate effectively with customers and team members.Additional Skills & QualificationsCMM exposure and ability to make basic edits to programs is a plus.Understanding of part tolerancing and GD&T is beneficial.Experience with IMDS database is a plus.Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $34.00 - $38.50
