Lockheed Martin is seeking a Quality Engineer (QE) Staff for a position in Grand Prairie, TX to manage the PrSM Ramp Rate Tooling and Test Engineering Hardware activities.



What You Will Be Doing
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Knowledgeable and execution of the Quality Management System.
• Driving the Quality mindset throughout the multi-functional disciplines, promotes and teaches Quality approaches for all efforts including driving the one company, one team philosophy through communication and personal behavior.
• Understanding of program rate tooling and hardware test equipment tasks that requires cross discipline collaboration with Engineering, Program Managers, Suppliers/Sub-contractors, Sites and Customers.
• Driving continuous improvement using Lean Six Sigma toolsets and utilizes lean initiatives to reduce waste and maintain continuous improvement including supplier support for root cause and corrective/preventive actions tied to Supplier Corrective Action Requests (SCARs) related to tooling.
• Supporting Integrated Product Team (IPT) meetings, SMT meetings and production sites with reviews of quality data on yields, rework, scrap, and non-conformance aging.
• Performing on-going supplier assessments for rate tooling increases and test equipment to ensure conformance to Lockheed Martin requirements.
• Providing technical liaison support related to suppliers and sites rate tooling and test equipment hardware matters.
Moderate travel may be required to support program activities.

MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - This position is located at a facility that requires special access. The selected candidate must be able to obtain a secret clearance.
Basic Qualifications:
STEM Degree at the Bachelor level or above, or equivalent experience/combined education (Preferably in one of the following disciplines: Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, etc.)

Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance

Experience developing quality standards, methods, work instructions and procedures for the inspection of manufactured products.

A strong understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).

Ability to interpret Drawings, Requirements/Specifications, Designs, Contracts to develop and apply quality test and inspection methods and and able to translate into work instructions.

A strong understanding of electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, product/performance specifications and other systems integration technical data.

Demonstrated understanding of audit techniques (internally and externally).

Demonstrated ability to use causal analysis tools to analyze and resolve technical/process issues varying from basic to very complex.

Experience in disposition of non-conforming products.

Experience in establishing and presenting Performance Metrics for identifying process improvement.

Ability to work independently with minimal direct supervision

Strong organizational skills and the ability to work in a dynamic environment and present to Sr. Leadership.

Must be able to multi-task, meet deadlines and have strong communication skills (both oral and written).

Must be able to effectively communicate and interface with Suppliers, Quality Management, Program Management, Engineering, GSC, and Government Representatives (STORM and DCMA).

Proficient skill level with Microsoft Office applications: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.

Ability to travel to suppliers and LM sites.
Desired Skills:
STEM Degree at the Bachelor level or above preferred.

Current active secret clearance

Quality Engineering and Leadership experience

Strong knowledge of industry recognized Quality systems such as International (ISO), aerospace (AS), FAA regulation and DFAR requirements.

Basic understanding of the MFC tools such as SAP, Apriso, P2P, IndySoft, business systems.

Earned Value Management System Cost Account Manager (EVMS CAM) experience

Lean/Six Sigma Black Belt Certification

ASQ CQE (Certified Quality Engineer) and/or CQIA (Certified Quality Improvement Associate)

Experience working with Government Customers and Suppliers.
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
