This position is part of the LM Aeronautics (Aero) Supplier Quality Management (SQM) Air Vehicle and Mission Systems (AVMS) Central Region Team, within the Aero Quality & Mission Success organization.
The selected candidate will perform product acceptance and supplier performance management at supplier sites on behalf of all LM Aero programs.
This position is located in the Chicago, Illinois area with travel to other cities within Illinois and surrounding states. Travel to assigned suppliers and performing work onsite at their facilities is required.
Goals are to lead suppliers through the process of developing and executing plans that ensure long-term flow of defect-free products in support of LM Aero production.
Scope includes suppliers of the air vehicle and missions systems commodities, including supplier design-authority, and MRO contracts.
The selected candidate will be accountable for collaborating with functional organizations and executive leadership at the supplier sites and at LM Aero to solve quality, technical, and contractual issues, and for ensuring supplier performance is aligned with achieving quality, delivery, and affordability goals set by the LM Aero programs.

Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelors degree from an accredited college in STEM, or equivalent experience/combined education.
• Proficient with quality principles with focus on AS9100 and AS9102.
• Experience developing performance improvements plans (e.g. zero defect plans, return-to-green plans).
• Experience interacting with one or more of the following: Program Management, Engineering, Supply Chain Management, and/or Government Customer Representatives.
• Root Cause Analysis experience or training.
Desired Skills:
• Experience with electronics, wire harnesses, circuit card assemblies, and manufacturing.
• Experience identifying relevant stakeholders for collaboration.
• High energy, self-starting, team player who achieves goals.
• Excellent interpersonal skills needed for collaboration, communication, and presentations. Green Belt or Black Belt, CQE or CMQ OE certification.
• Demonstrated quality science expertise in one or more of the following areas: Statistical analysis, statistical process control, sampling, six sigma, FAI, PPAP, PFMEA, process auditing or validation, root cause analysis and corrective action validations, and supplier quality management.
• Experience working independently with minimal supervision.

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
Pay Rate:
The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, Washington or Washington DC is $78,500 - $150,400. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
