As a **Quality Expert - Sanitation** , you will be responsible for food defense and food safety, and assure that all food safety protocols are adhered to. The Quality Expert – Sanitation plays a critical role in assuring sanitation and hygiene of the facility.

**Your Key Responsibilities:**
+ Enhance and maintain plant MSS (master sanitation program) to ensure that all products are manufactured in a sanitary environment with an understanding of local regulatory requirements, company policies and related regulatory, sanitation, and plant hygiene processes.
+ Implement and maintain sanitation procedures and programs (i.e. - Pest Control Program, Pre-Operational Program, ATP Swab Program, Environmental Swabs Program).
+ Monitor adherence to sanitation program policies, procedures in the plant environment and ensure the cleaning regime is in place and adhered to.
+ Work with the maintenance team advising on hygienic design and new equipment approval.
+ Maintain and validate effectiveness of sanitation SSOPs.
+ Monitor effectiveness of facility equipment cleaning and ensure record keeping.
+ Ensure sanitation activities meet requirements in accordance with regulatory and company needs.
+ Work with the plant leadership team (Production, Maintenance, Quality, Warehouse) to review all sanitation training programs to ensure they are understood and completed by fellow sanitation personnel and/or plant personnel in a safe and efficient manner.
+ Train all employees in sanitation SSOPs, as well as conduct refresher training to ensure employees are trained on updates and modification to SSOPs.
+ Participate in root cause analysis and corrective/preventive action plans on any event that could be caused by/related to sanitation.

**You Bring:**
+ Bachelor's degree (B.S.) and 2 to 5 years related experience and/or training; OR 8 years of experience in sanitation in food manufacturing.
+ HACCP certified preferred but not required
+ Previous experience with automated CIP systems and dry cleaning.
+ Knowledge of food safety systems.
+ Ability to work with cross functional teams.
+ Strong interpersonal, communications, coaching and project management skills.
+ Excellent skills with Word and Excel Software.
+ Strong autonomy and organizational skills.
