Job Summary

\n

Provides senior-level consultant expertise and leadership to teams to achieve improved outcomes and sustainable change. Help the BSWH strategy to deliver high-quality, safe care and achieve excellence in accordance with regulatory statutes, policies, and procedures.

\n

\n

Essential Functions of the Role

\n\nServes as a senior internal consultant for quality and patient safety initiatives and medium to large scale projects through BSWH.\nFacilitates, coordinates, and provides project management for quality improvement teams and strategic planning sessions. Provides support for other meetings and committees as needed.\nProvides leadership, coaching, and mentoring to team members and managers in the provision of quality, safe care and regulatory issues.\nIn partnership with teams and managers, develop indicators and identify improvement opportunities. Monitors and evaluates quality of care based on evidence-based practices, regulatory and accrediting agencies, and data analysis. \nPrepares and submits timely reports to various stakeholders. These reports include progress, potential barriers, lessons learned, and related topics for strategic improvement priorities.\nWorks with staff to use audit strategies, data extraction, observation, surveys, focus groups, or other tools to improve care and service quality.\nCollaborates in the development, interpretation, and administration of policies, procedures, and practices. They aim to provide high-quality, safe care and meet federal and state requirements.\nApply a wide range of analytical techniques and process or quality improvement tools to drive improvements.\nRepresents BSWH at local, regional, state, or national health care partners.\nParticipates and/or manages unit and/or facility huddles.\nHelps the ZERO Harm rounding process as directed by leadership.\n\n

Key Success Factors

\n\nExpert knowledge of tools and techniques of quality performance measurement and data testing.\nExpert knowledge of Texas, Joint Commission, and CMS standards.\nExpert knowledge of trends, developments, and research in providing high-quality safe care.\nSkilled facilitator, coach, consultant, influencer.\nManagement and strategic thinking skills.\nInvestigative and problem-solving skills.\nSkilled in the use of computers and related software applications.\nExcellent verbal, social, and written communication skills.\nAble to mentor, train, and develop instructional materials to educate leadership and staff in quality, patient safety, and regulatory issues.\nAble to work collaboratively and effectively with a wide range of stakeholders and across organizational lines and teams.\nAble to identify and deploy required project management processes, tools, and templates needed to successfully drive initiatives.\nAble to partner with key stakeholders to identify impediments to success and recommend and implement corrective action and/or mitigation.\nAble to work independently or with varying levels of direction or indirect supervision and guidance.\nAble to appropriately prioritize tasks to meet desired deadlines.\nMust achieve CPHQ, CPPS, or role-appropriate certification within two years.\n\n

EDUCATION - Bachelor'sEXPERIENCE - 5 Years of Experience
