POSITION OVERVIEW

Full time: 40 hours per week

In this role you will have responsibility for:

Providing project management and facilitationClinical oversight and support for the development, coordination, implementation and evaluation of quality improvement, medical staff performance improvement, and patient safety initiativesOrganizing relevant task forcesReview of evidenced based literature/benchmarksEstablishment of indicators for monitoring and evaluation of quality and appropriateness of care, continuous improvement, and achieving targeted goalsMedical record reviewOccurrence/complaint investigationTracking/trending medical staff performance.


MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Experience

3 or more years of current experience in QI related activities preferredExperience in a clinical area of an acute care facility with demonstrated leadership, teaching and QI/PI facilitation skills preferredKnowledge and understanding of regulatory and accreditation agency standards preferred Must be able to link the clinical effectiveness and clinical informatics arenasRequires local travel and use of personal automobileRequires flexibility in work schedule

License / Certification

Virginia or Multi-State Registered Nurse License in good standing
