Quality Inspection Technician

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

 Examines completed trucks for any assembly misses and/or damages and identify potential issues, such as clearance and rubbing issues that can lead to function adjustments. Checks for loose or misaligned components, including decals, doors, hardware and overall aesthetics of the truck(s). Performs repairs and replaces defective items efficiently and accurately, in accordance with company standards. Conducts function testing of custom products, including flow, performance, and leak testing as required. Ensure all safety lockouts are functioning properly. Maintains and accounts for all tools and manuals used in the inspection process. Operates all tools and equipment safely. Reports any safety issues immediately to the manager. Performs other duties as assigned.

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:

Analytical Skills: Ability to gather and interpret data, identify trends, and notice outliers. Technical Skills: Ability to troubleshoot electrical and hydraulic components Computer Skills: Ability to use or learn to use engine programming software and check functions and modify parameters as needed. Organizational Skills: Proficiency in tracking testing results, documentation, and recommendations while maintaining a clean and organized work area. Excellent Written Communication: Ability to produce concise and accurate documentation, review internal and external guidance, and potentially write company SOPs with a process-oriented mindset. Interpersonal Skills: Capability to train production staff on quality systems, collaborate closely with production staff to identify and correct errors, and work independently and efficiently. Keen Attention to Detail: Ability to spot non-compliant processes, provide alternative suggestions, and interpret external guidance and industry regulations. Critical/Logical Thinking: Proficiency in identifying problems and providing novel solutions to ensure manufacturing efficiency and quality. General mechanical skills required. Proficiency in pneumatics, 12V wiring systems, and small engines. Strong communication skills, including the ability to explain and teach methodologies. Understanding of manufacturing methods and procedures. Excellent computer skills, including proficiency in MS Office. 2-4 years of general mechanical abilities with Diesel Trucks or heavy equipment preferred Refuse (Waste Truck) experience is preferred
