Position Overview:

  

The Quality Inspector 2 is a vital member of our quality assurance team, dedicated to maintaining and enhancing the quality standards of our products and processes. This role involves performing critical non-routine inspections and tests on a diverse range of components, assemblies, equipment, systems, supplies, and materials. The Quality Inspector 2 operates independently, handling complex inspection processes that require specialized setups and the interpretation of test data from multiple sources.


What your day-to-day will look like:


Inspection and Testing: Follow general inspection guidelines to conduct critical non-routine visual, dimensional, mechanical, electrical tests, and functional inspections on a wide variety of components, assemblies, equipment, systems, supplies, and materials. Independent Work: Perform complex and critical inspection processes independently, requiring special set-ups of new or unique equipment and interpretation of test data from various sources. First Article Inspection: Conduct first article inspections of parts and assemblies as needed. Reporting: Prepare and approve inspection reports, charts, and records regarding quality measures, conformance status, and quantity of material processed. Root Cause Analysis: Lead root cause evaluations and corrective actions utilizing quality tools. Statistical Analysis: Prepare charts and conduct simple statistical analysis. Ordering Supplies: Place orders for consumables and small tools for department use. 6S Standards: Ensure designated areas meet 6S standards and submit equipment maintenance requests. Validation: Validate purchased products. Vendor Inspection: Perform source inspections at local vendors as required.

High school diploma (or GED) Interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team Individuals must possess a valid Driver's license in good standing.

The salary may be higher or lower depending on the budget and the candidate's experience, knowledge, skills, and qualifications.
