Position Overview:  


The Quality Inspector is crucial to our quality assurance team, ensuring high standards for products and processes. This role involves non-routine inspections and tests on various components, assemblies, equipment, systems, supplies, and materials. The Quality Inspector handles complex inspection tasks independently, requiring specialized setups and data interpretation from multiple sources.

Manage and distribute quality documents for sub-supplied partsPerform joint QA inspections to ensure proper delivery and hand-over to customersCommunicate with and support the supply chain to manage, track, and resolve quality issuesCollaborate with the onsite team and take direction from the Quality Manager for project support


What your day-to-day will look like:


Receive daily materials, ensuring completeness and good condition.Ensure QMS, Sharepoint, and ERP have needed test and quality reports.Coordinate receiving dock and inspection.Deliver materials to customers with required paperwork and reports.Respond to customer requests for material and documentation reviews.Initiate nonconforming material reviews, focusing on supplier coordination, shipments, and closure.Communicate remotely with supply chain management, project management, and material review team.Provide status updates in various systems.

2-5 years of inspection or technical support experience  Strong communication and interpersonal skillsComfortable with customer interaction and company representationAbility to interpret engineering drawingsKnowledge of measurement equipment for independent inspectionsProficient in Microsoft Office and PDF applicationsDetail-oriented, organized, and accurate record-keepingProcess-oriented with a focus on proceduresFlexible attitude toward work, both defined tasks and proactive initiatives


Preferred Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience:


High school diploma or GEDCustomer-facing rolesWarehousing and inspection processesManufacturing environmentsERP (e.g., SAP) or Quality Management Systems responsibilitiesManaging or interacting with suppliersOut-of-scope tasksManaging tasks with minimal oversightCoordinating activities in "Responsibilities" section Inspection-related accreditations: ASQ CQT, CQI, CIA Proficient in SAP ERP Proficient in MS Excel and other MS Office products (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)

The hourly rate may be higher or lower depending on the budget and the candidate's experience, knowledge, skills, and qualifications.
