Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Quality Inspector for the 3rd shift to ensure the quality and safety of our food products. The ideal candidate will have experience in manufacturing, ideally within the food industry, and will be responsible for enforcing Good Manufacturing Practices throughout the facility. This role involves verifying line components, performing bacteria and allergen tests, and ensuring equipment meets cleaning standards.
ResponsibilitiesCheck and verify that all HACCP tasks are performed on each machine running.Verify that all labels are accurate and match proof sheets.Perform bacteria tests and allergens testing prior to product runs.Assist the Production staff to ensure that all work areas are kept clean.Assist the Production Team Leader with entering performance data on the white board.Perform hourly weight checks and flavor checks on each running line.Assist Quality Assurance in reviewing production paperwork for accuracy.Assist Quality Assurance in receiving product inspections.Assist Sales Team with making of mixes and samples.Essential SkillsExperience in manufacturing, ideally within the food industry.Ability to document quality standards on paper and computers.Experience verifying line components (labels, products, documents) to give line clearance.Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices.HS Diploma or GED.Minimum of 6 months of quality experience.Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience in quality inspection, documentation, production, and in-process inspections.Experience in production assembly and manufacturing.Why Work Here?

Work Environment
This position is based in a growing food packaging facility with a climate-controlled production floor. The facility processes nuts and handles five allergens: peanuts, tree nuts, milk, wheat, and soy.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of EDISON, New Jersey.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr.
