Location: Orange County, CA

Duration: 12 months with possible extension

Frequency: 40 hours a week (Full-Time)

Pay Range: $30.00-$32.00/hr 

Travel Time paid at 70% of Labor Rate 

Mileage is reimbursable per GSA rates - must be within 60 miles from facility. 

 

Seeking (2) Full Time Quality Representatives to support onsite at suppliers facility, responsible for creation of all First Article Inspection reports and completion of Quality Tags. 

 

Job Description:

 

The Quality Inspector shall create First Article Inspections (FAIs) in accordance with Aerospace Standard AS9102.The candidate will ensure the accuracy and completeness of all engineering design requirements records on the AS9102 forms.Performing First Article Gap Analysis, identify and report discrepanciesConfirmation that the First Article Inspection Record (FAIR) is accurate and completed for a part number or assembly and that all part, product, and characteristic accountability aspects are addressed prior to approval.

Qualifications:

 

First article inspector must have knowledge and practical experience of the AS9102 standard.This should include at least 2 year of experience inspecting all aspects of first article packages in accordance with the standard, along with at least 5 years in quality.Previous experience in FAIR review / sign-offStrong background in manufacturing in the aerospace or military / defense industries required.Practical experience inspecting aerospace components and assemblies is necessary as well as knowledge of applicable industry standardsInspector must be able to read and understand Purchasing documents, specifications, shop planning, drawings, 3D models and other technical instructions.Must be able to work in manufacturing environmentGood communication skills, both written and oral.Inspector must have proficient computer skills using Microsoft Word and Excel.
