About the Job Job descriptionThe employee will be working in the Pre-Process Inspection Area performing a variety of inspection and testing duties to insure that shipped products fulfill all customer specification and quality requirements. Primary Operational Duties and Responsibilities: + Ability to read, understand and learn customer specifications, Cygnus operating procedures, and work order instructions to certify part Quality Inspection and acceptance. + Perform physical and visual inspection of raw materials, fabricated parts, and equipment in accordance with work order, specifications, operating procedures, and other documentation. + Complete inspection task and required paper work accurately, in a timely manner. + Perform and document all inspection results, ensuring all planned quality requirements are met and when necessary, troubleshoot and initiate nonconformance reports and disposition all nonconforming items. + Follow scheduled priority list to ensure parts are shipped on time. Typical Benefits Package: + This is a full-time day shift position - Schedule is a 9/80 pay period. 1st week Mon-Thu 6am-3:30pm & Fri 6am-2:30pm 2nd week Mon-Thu 6am-3:30pm & Fri off. + Benefits package available after 3 months: Medical, Dental, Optical, PPTO, 401K and life insurance. + Salary: Depending on Capabilities and Experience Qualifications: Education, Experience, Special Skills, and Knowledge: + Experience with measuring devices is preferred: Faro Arm, CMM and calipers. + Must have good reading and math skills. + Familiarity with standard office equipment and software including personal computers, word processing, and spreadsheets. + Knowledge of and/or ability to learn and apply geometric dimensioning and tolerancing. Physical Requirements: + May sit or stand for extended periods at a time at a desk, bench, or table. + May also be required to work at a computer terminal or near moving mechanical parts. + Close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus are required. The employee must pass a basic eye exam and demonstrate color perception (ability to perform color comparisons). + Must be able to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds regularly and 25 pounds occasionally.
