Summary: The quality control inspector position conducts in-process and final inspection of various products such as valves, actuators, switches, and pumps. Perform visual and dimensional examination using basic inspection equipment, under direct supervision of Quality Control Supervisor.

Essential Responsibilities Inspect products using gauges, scales, and vision at receiving inspection, in process inspection, and prior to shipmentGenerate first article reports per AS9102Reconcile and review all final inspection documentation for shipmentsInteract with source inspectors and customers as neededReview customer purchase orders for quality requirement flow downsVerifies conformance of products to specificationsWork with cross functional engineering teams to address any non-conformance’sRecord inspection results accurately on inspection report and in databasesBasic understanding of geometric dimensioning and tolerancingMake acceptance or rejection decisions based on established proceduresPerforms visual and dimensional measurements of purchased components using microscopes, micrometers, dial calipers, and other precision measurement equipmentEstablish appropriate inspection setups using the equipment availableFollows company safety policies and procedures while ensuring quality workTolerance measurement techniques, with the ability to interpret engineering specifications Position Requirements High school diploma or GED is required 5 years of professional experience is requiredExperience in AS9100 aerospace environment preferred Proficient in the utilization of Federal Aviation Regulations, FAA forms and documents.Proficient use/interpretation of Component Maintenance Manuals.Strong written and verbal communication skills.Must be able to effectively prioritize tasksStrong computer skills. Proficient with Microsoft Word.
